Crécy Publishing are looking for a Production Assistant to join the busy team at their Manchester office.

Crécy Publishing have a new position for a keen all-rounder to help the editorial team deliver its busy publishing schedule. Reporting to our editor, core elements of the role will include liaising with our authors, designers, freelancers and printers to bring quality books to publication on-time and on-budget. Basic editorial tasks undertaken on a day-to-day basis will include checking proofs, maintaining book data and creating marketing materials. Nevertheless, this is a varied role in a small team so other responsibilities will include assisting mail-order customers, answering book trade queries and some administrative tasks.

The ideal applicant will be a proven multi-tasker with a flexible approach and good inter-personal skills; who handles pressure well and is comfortable working to deadlines. Customer-facing experience will be a definite advantage, together with the ability to communicate well with a wide variety of people including authors, customers, suppliers, colleagues and other publishing partners.

This is a full-time permanent position with a growing publisher who has a managed backlist of around 1000 military history and transport titles while producing around 50 new titles annually.
