This is the second volume by Peter Tatlow on Railway Breakdown Cranes. Produced in the same style as Vol 1 (the latter is likely to sell out in 2013), 296 pages describe the evolution of the breakdown crane from circa 1906 through to current times.
As before there are copious illustrations and scaled drawings - this time many of the images being in colour.
A stunning work, casebound and printed on heavyweight art paper. It is sure to command the same superlatives as have been applied to Vol 1, namely, "...excellent...just fabulous...perfect...".
