The text is mainly photographic, there are in fact over 170 images. Most of the pictures are published for the first time coming from the author’s collection, results of research in markets and through collectors. Really important the rare color photo of Mussolini, taken by the author’s grandfather in 1938. The author illustrates them inserting historical events and war cross sections making sure to always enhance the role of the Italian armoured vehicles. In doing so he mentions quotes from “The diaries” by Galeazzo Ciano, and passages by Niccolò Giani, the founder of Fascism ideology, as the main critic towards Italian Military system of Second World War.
The book is addressed to all those interested in knowing the role of Italian Army with tanks and the differences with foreign vehicles.
The book covers a span till the Second Post War period with a unpublished list of armoured vehicles used by Polizia (Police) with references to number plates, places where they’ve been used and year of scrapping.
There is a final part dedicated to modelling, especially to all kits of italian armored vehicles.
