Crécy Publishing are recruiting a Publishing Assistant to join our small team. This role will be based at our office in Manchester.

Established in 1997, Crecy Publishing is one of Europe’s leading publishers of transport and military history books, selling to a worldwide customer base. Starting with the publication of a single book, we have grown through a mixture of organic growth and acquisition of quality book publishing lists. To assist our expansion, we are looking for a keen all-rounder to assist the editorial, marketing and sales processes in order to deliver a busy publishing schedule on time and on budget.

Reporting to our production editor, core elements of the role will include:

• Liaising with our editorial, production and marketing partners;
• Creating and distributing sales and marketing materials;
• Customer liaison, sales order processing;
• Organising publishing events.

The successful applicant will be a proven multi-tasker with a flexible approach and good interpersonal skills; very well organised and able to work to tight deadlines. Customer-facing experience will be very helpful, together with the ability to communicate well with authors, suppliers, customers and other publishing colleagues. This is a great role for someone looking to get into the publishing industry and who has a genuine passion for books in all their forms.
