A delightful little album of 48 pages, 24 in colour, mainly depicting the building of the Tiverton & North Devon Railway, but with a section also on the Culm Valley line.
The gems in this book have to be reproductions of the original engineer's sketches and notes, allied to examples of the deposited plans and early track layouts - including broad gauge days, all of which are reproduced in full colour.
The material comes in the main from the archives of Tiverton Museum, supplemented from the collections of the author, Amyas Crump, and The Broad Gauge Society.
Produced in conjunction with Tiverton Museum and The Broad Gauge Society, the book is a a limited run of just 1,000 copies, which will both captivate and entertain.
